Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:  TITLE & ARTIST: "Come Fly With Me" - by Frank Sinatra on the Capitol Records label (W 920), a promotional copy in beautiful original monaural sound, released in 1958. CONDITION: JACKET - VG++ (Jacket has light age/edge/corner wear, with a split beginning to appear in the center of the top seam; front cover with its Sinatra/Constellations artwork is very lightly worn and bears the original "For Promotional Use Only/Not for Sale" sticker - please see actual album in photo); VINYL - VG++ (Capitol Record's original yellow/black promotional label is unmarked and the very deep groove vinyl has some extremely light scuff marks - Visually Graded under custom spotlight).  SPECIAL FEATURES: This is one of the best examples I've seen of this classic Sinatra album - surely one of his best. Excellent liner notes with Sinatra's "Flight Log" on back. This record was pressed in the days when "Promo" meant one of the earliest and clearest pressings of the album, designed to go to DJs and promoters and intended to sound better than any other pressings could. In many ways, this is a Sinatra "Holy Grail" album. And don't miss Frank's last words on the ultimate track; he suggests: "Make a Pizza." Perfect. TRACKS: Come Fly With Me, Around the World, Isle of Capri, Moonlight In Vermont, Autumn In New York, On the Road to Mandalay, Let's Get Away From It All, April In Paris, London By Night, Brazil, Blue Hawaii, and It's Nice to Go Trav'ling. Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck. OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
