Description

Very rare and lovely example of this iconic album. This is a gatefold "promotion" copy which is printed on both centre labels together with the phrase "Not For Sale" above the Bizarre logo.
The album cover is in excellent condition (please see photographs). The cover is not laminated but neither side has any marks or writing. The same can be said of the inside. The spine of the gatefold is in good condition and all printing is legible including "PRINTED IN U.S.A.". Slight rubbing at both bottom corners and down one edge of the spine as shown in the photographs.
The inner sleeve is original and is printed on one side with a Victorian photograph of a brass band together with the phrase "Reprise Records * Makers of Fine Music". On the reverse it is printed with a list of 42 artists together with "PRINTED IN U.S.A.". This sleeve is in excellent condition without creases or writing. However, the 3 sides do have splits. The left side has a split of 1cm, the right side has a split of 8cm. and the bottom has a split of 11cm.
There is an original flier that was included with the album concerning "28 concerned record artists". This is only printed on one side as shown in the photograph and is in mint condition.
The album is in superb condition and plays through with just a few clicks but no skips or jumps. The label on both sides is plain white/cream and printed with Bizarre and Reprise logos together with promotional printing as already described. The matrix numbers are correct for this early album, RS-6356-A (17520 struck through) 30926-1B (all etched) and RS-6356-B (17521 struck through) 30927 (all etched). Please note condition of centre spindle holes showing that the album has been little played.
