Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention with their 1966 debut LP "Freak Out!" on Verve, V6-5005-2, Stereo. An original pressing with the MAP OFFER located inside the gatefold, so it is a tough one to come across. The jacket leaves something to be desired, but the vinyl cleaned up very nicely and it sounds EXCELLENT! Very low starting bid for this classic collectors item.

I can burn all records onto a blank disc for you using a USB turntable, and also separate and name each individual track. Additionally, I will use a software filter to remove background noise. If you would like a copy of the actual album you are bidding on transferred and burned to digital format, please let me know at the end of the auction. I charge $8 per record/disc - it is a tedious process and takes a minimum of one hour. $8/hour = is that even minimum wage? In any case, I enjoy listening to the albums and I could care less about making money. It's a break even deal that gives both of us precious time with our music. And that's priceless ;-)

6 VG (Small name printed on front in FREAK OUT! bubble, see photos. Seams are split about 2" on both top portions, this can be repaired. Also, Robin Jones, who wrote his/her name on the cover, also stamped his/her name on the inside and the back, but they are both small stamps. Still has a solid spine and much less ringwear than most copies, so all is not lost. Still a very usable jacket.)

Vinyl (*PLAY GRADED*)

7.5 VG++ (The vinyl here is well worth your bid. Both albums show some playwear/surface scratches, but none are deep. Playability is great - NO skips, and only light background noise. I actually recorded this from my USB turntable and the CD sounds great. It sounds like an 8 EX but will grade accordingly due to the visibility of these insignificant scratches. Wowee Zowee!)

Includes generic white record store sleeves with plastic inside liners.

Here's how I grade:

1 = Poor, 3 = Fair, 4 = G, 5= VG-, 6 = VG, 7 = VG+, 8 = EX, 9 = Nr Mint, 10 = Mint

I RARELY SELL ANYTHING BELOW A 5/VG- GRADE.

VG- (5) : Moderate wear and scratches, maybe a skip or two or three. 

VG (6) : Will have a fair amount of visible scratches/scuffs/playmarks and there is a possibility of surface noise, but no skips.

VG+ (7) : You can tell it's used, but will play through just fine.

EX (8) : Someone has cared for this LP very nicely. Maybe only 1 or 2 light blemishes. Or 3 if it's 20+ years old. Will sound great.)

Nr MINT (9) : Like new.

MINT (10) : New. Sealed. Pristine.

I CLEAN ALL OF MY RECORDS BEFORE THEY GO UP ON EBAY! Aren't I a nice guy? I use D4 solution and a cleaning brush and finish it off with a microfiber cloth. The LP will be nice and shiny, free of prints, and ready to go directly to your turntable. (*Please remember - cleaning doesn't remove scratches, so please read the grading and condition section carefully)

This includes a brand new 13x13 sturdy cardboard shipping box and bubble wrap. If you would like insurance, PLEASE ASK before sending payment so I can calculate the additional fee. INSURANCE IS MANDATORY ON ANYTHING DOMESTIC OVER $20! You will be charged for it and the reasons are obvious.

I am also more than happy to combine shipping charges at a cost of .75 per additional LP. Take your time and save some money if there are other records that you would like to bid on.
