This is my 7 LP, 5 of them Douple LP sets, (MINT / UNPLAYED) box-set by Frank Zappa. The Beret (hat) is un-worn and as new! It looks a bit on the small size to me and I don't think it would fit the head of the man designed to wear the T-shirt in Box 1 !!! Perhaps it's one for the Ladies!
In 1991, in a deal with Rhino Records, Frank Zappa took revenge on years of the bootlegging of his shows and recordings and released this 2nd wonderful box-set of previously released 'Bootlegs', but this time with superb sound and sleeve quality (but keeping the original tracks & sleeve design from these Bootlegs) by releasing them himself! The 7 LPs (including 5 Double LP set) are packaged in the cardboard box as shown in picture 1. There is a amount of loss of colour / image on the Rhino logo on one side panel of the box and this is due to a tear in the cardbaords surface. Above this is a small mark of white paint. The 8 LPs are presented in the box along with the hat and a wonderful book of Zappa cuttings, covering most of his carreer! The original Bootlegs presented in 'Beat The Boots are; 'Disconnected Synapses', 'Tengo Na Minchia Tanta', 'Electric Aunt Jemima', 'At The Circus', 'Swiss Cheese' / 'Fire', 'Our man In Nirvana' & 'Conceptual Continuity'. Wonderful Zappa / Mothers Of Invention music, excellent presentation and very hard to find, particularly in this un-played state!
