Description

"ONE NIGHT STAND" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC.  ONE COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISC.  THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO ARMED FORCES RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST TO U. S. TROOPS  JUST AFTER WORLD WAR TWO AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  VERY RARE!  

This disc is from the One Night Stand "Fill" series.  These discs were issued to Armed Forces stations as stand-by programs and would only be played in case any of the discs from the regular series were damaged or otherwise unplayable.  These discs are much less common than discs from the regular One Night Stand series 

"One Night Stand" program #111 "Fill" from November 30, 1945 featuring Frankie Carle & His Orchestra from The Cafe Rouge in New York City with vocals by Marjorie Hughes and Paul Allen.   Songs include "Don't You Remember Me" vocal Paul Allen, "That Naughty Waltz", "Blue Skies", "Oh What It Seemed To Be" vocal Marjorie Hughes, "Clarinet A La Minor", "I'm Gonna Love That Guy" vocal Marjorie Hughes, "As Long As I Live" vocal Paul Allen, "Just A Little Fond Affection" vocal Marjorie Hughes, "That Lonesome Road"

Program was meant to be broadcast to servicemen overseas, Excellent World War Two Era nostalgic broadcast!   Program is complete and 30 minutes

Disc is in Excellent- Condition with Excellent- Sound, Beautiful Disc!

Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables.   For $10 I can include a CD transfer of the entire disc for the buyer only
