FREDDIE HUBBARD “Breaking Point!” RVG, P, Blue Note BST 84172 Stereo Vinyl

This is the 1964, first edition, “VAN GELDER” stamped, “P” pressing of FREDDIE HUBBARD’s “Breaking Point!” on the "New York USA” labels of Blue Note BST 84172.  Musicians include Freddie Hubbard – trumpet, James Spaulding - alto saxophone, flute, Ronnie Mathews – piano, Eddie Khan – bass, Joe Chambers - drums.

VINYL plays beautifully, quietly, cleanly, with occasional with pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No skips. Very Good gloss. A couple non-feelable hairline marks.  (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “New York USA” labels are clean, spindle marks. A beautiful copy of a very dynamic and highly sought after LP. COVER is in good shape. Corners worn. Two punch-through holes. Spine and seams in very good shape with minor show cracking. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows minor wear, two holes. Please see photos.

     

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER. Record photographed before final clear rinse/dry.
