SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES!! This is a reasonably priced original 1960s-era U.S. press Blue Note Records MONO LP titled 'The Music From 'The Connection'', with seven tracks from the Freddie Redd Quartet featuring ace alto sax man Jackie McLean. It is Blue Note Records catalog number BLP 4027, rigid vinyl pressing with the 'RVG' machine stamp in the dry runout area, 'New York USA' address on the labels, and '43 West 61st Street, New York 23, N.Y.' address on the bottom of the back album cover. Personnel: Jackie McLean-alto sax / Freddie Redd-piano / Michel Mattos-bass / Larry Ritchie-drums. Tracks: Who Killed Cock Robin, Wigglin', Music Forever, Time To Smile, Theme For Sister Salvation, Jim Dunn's Dilemma, O.D.. Visual condition of record is a high VG+ with a very few surface marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play. Condition of cover is also a mid VG+ with the only real flaws being a little age discoloration on the white areas of the back cover, some ring and contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners. There are no splits, tears, writing, or stickers. This scarce original mono gem would be an essential choice addition to any Blue Note or modern jazz collection!
