FREE DESIGN 'The Best Of Free Design' Double LP (Italy, Cherry Red, catalogue #MRED 194) Brand new / unplayed copy (still sealed - gatefold cover) of now difficult to locate 20 song vinyl collection of soft pop/psych masters Free Design. The wonderful album cover is worth mentioning as well. 'This compilation draws from the Free Design's six albums recorded from 1967-1973 for Enoch Light's renowned audiophile label, Project 3. Despite their exquisite vocal harmonies and ethereal arrangements, sucess inexplicably eluded this sibling vocal group (Chris, Bruce and Sandy Dedrick.) Yet, almost three decades later the Free Design's music continues to live on, influencing a whole new generation of 'soft pop' (Saint Etienne, The High Llamas, Stereolab, etc.) Includes annotated track listing by Chris Dedrick.
