Description
I bought this album about 10 years ago from a record shop near me. The album is first press as you can tell by the orange disc in the middle of the pink Island label. The cover is signed by all 4 members, most notably Paul Kossoff who died 19th March 1976, and more recently Andy Fraser earlier this year. Also signed at the time by Paul Rogers and Simon Kirk.
I have tried to do some research in to the validity of the signatures and can determine that they are a perfect match to all other signed Paul Kossoff/Free memorabilia, however obtaining a certificate of authenticity has not been possible. I have taken the record to several well established record fairs and have been told by numerous collectors that this is the real deal, having themselves seen the signatures of the band.

The condition of the sleeve is 6 out of 10, there are signs of ware and vinyl storage. The record however, is at least a 9 out of 10.
This is a reluctant sale but my hand is being forced. I am a genuine big Free fan and have been for a very long time so will be sad to see it go. I only hope it finds its way to another genuine fan.
postage will be royal mail tracked and signed special 24 delivery as i want the item to be very well looked after. i will be shipping it in a big box surrounded by bubble wrap so safety is absolutely guarenteed. alternatively i can hand deliver if within 50 miles or personal collection would be welcome.

I addition to the info provided here is a message I just received about the signatures:- hello,..i just saw your ad for the FREE signed album... i have the same album title , signed in the pictures the same as yours .. having 13 or 14 sets of FREE and kossoff signed items in my collection, i can also confirm from the photos that your item definitely contain the real signatures.. i have probably the best collection of memorabilia by the band in the uk and have been credited in the the deluxe editions of ''fire and water'' and ''back street crawler'' cd's where my memorabilia has been used in the booklets..and also the 5 disc box set and ''heavy load'' book, i know that you will be looking for a lot for your item....did you notice that a set of autographs sold last week?.. the difference between that set and yours, however, is that your andy fraser signature is from the 70's..the other was a recent one.. i wondered, therefore, if you have anything else by FREE which you'd be interested in selling...... let me know. raymond davren Also I can confirm that the signatures of all members were in fact signed at the same time. People have asked about Andy Frasers signature and whether it's recent but it was late 60's early 70's.
