Description
From a Private Collector and former record chain manager and store owner. It is time to share the spoils of 50 PLUS years of collecting. Items are not items bought and traded, JUST collected and now being offered for the first time.
The cuts are: Side one: Jambalaya / Heaven Holds All My Treasures / You Better Keep It On Your Mind / Lost On The River / Your Cheatin' Heart / A House Of Gold.
Side 2: Honky Tonk Blues / Help Me Understand / 'Neath A Cold Gray Tomb Of Stone / There's Nothing As Sweet As My Baby / Fool About You / The Log Train.
The fine print below each song does NOT say where and when nor the length. In the text that is around the back side picture, it states: "This album presents 12 rare demos by country music's most famous singer-songwriter, Hank Williams." It further states that these are from acetates. "Only a thorough search by Acuff-Rose's Dean May unearthed the dozen recordings on this album." "Overdubbed versions of three of the demos WERE released by MGM after his death."
Lastly: "Although the selections included here are country music at their most basic, each conveys the conviction, emotional intensity, and vocal technique which earned Hank Williams his legendary place in country music."
Original Owner...never opened. A rather odd release from the Country Music Foundation out of Nashville. Some credit is given to Polygram Records, but is a small run of something special and does not have a catalog number.
