Description

VARIOUS: FROM THE MEGAVAULT (Mega Force MRI 1569/1985)

Compilation of tracks from the label's releases plus some demos and rare tracks, including one from the ultra rare Medieval Steel 12" EP.

This copy is a test pressing in a plain white disco sleeve with only the title handwritten on the front. This copy was purchased from a former employee of Important Records distro.

The record looks unplayed. There are no marks or marringaround the spindle holes on both sides. As such, I haven't played it for an audible grade.

 

Here's a full run down of tracks along with commentary from the Corroseum website:

1. MEDIEVAL STEEL - Battle Beyond The Stars Mid-paced power metal that is not terribly innovative but thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless. Taken from their legendary EP. 2. OVERKILL - Sonic Reducer Classic DEAD BOYS cover. 3. EXCITER - Death Revenge Raw, fast and aggressive speed metal, just like you'd expect from these guys. 4. T.T. QUICK - A Wing & A Prayer Very good sleaze metal with suberb vocals. 5. RAVEN - Take It Away Recorded at the Live At The Inferno concert but does not appear on that LP. Recalls a time when they didn't need anyone's money.
Side B: 1. IMPERIOUS REX - Red Diamonds Good hard rockish metal, somewhere between DOKKEN and SAVATAGE. 2. BLESSED DEATH - Pain Killer Speed/thrash with hardcore influences like early SLAYER but not even as good as, say, HALLOWS EVE. Demo version which was released as a bonus track on the CD reissue of Destined For Extinction. 3. S.O.D. - Ram It Up Pointless INFERNO cover. Released as a bonus track on most CD reissues of Speak English Or Die. 4. ANTHRAX - Panic Classic speed metal, this is the live-in-the-studio version from the Armed And Dangerous EP. 5. BLUE CHEER - Boney Maroney Cover of the 1950s hit that sounds like something TWISTED SISTER might do on an off day.

SHIPPING: Shipping costs will be quoted based on cost for estimated weight plus $1.00 to cover most of the cost of packing materials. If you win more than one record, one cost will be calculated based on total weight; you will not be charged individual shipping for each one. If you win an auction, but see another current auction of mine you plan to bid on, notify me if you'd like to wait to pay for them together and have them shipped together to save on shipping.

All records are packed in in between two cardboard filler pads and shipped in professional cardboard mailing boxes. All unsealed  12" records are taken out of their covers to prevent seam splitting. If there is a custom inner sleeve, the record will be put in a separate white inner. If a 7" record comes in a picture sleeve, the same procedure is followed.

 

GRADING: I grade records both visually and audibly. As grading is so imprecise and subjective, I don't have a set grading description like you see listed in many auction and collector magazines. My grades for  records and covers are based on the overall conditions I describe in each auction; I will note any visual defects and (for the vinyl) any non-musical sounds (pops, clicks, skips, etc.).
