Further Information/Comments
The Fruit Machine were an obscure band from Norfolk who only released two singles in the UK and an additional one in the US only, all of which are very hard to find and sought after. "I'm Alone Today" features some good guitar and piano interplay, and their version of Cream's "Sunshine Of Your Love" is very competent.
This, their second UK 45 (I am also currently auctioning their 1st release "Cuddly Toy"), was recorded in London. Chris Randall recalls:- "The recording of I'm Alone Today and Sunshine Of Your Love was made in the small basement studio below "Southern Music" in Little Newport Street, Soho. The tape machine was an old valve (tube) Ampex half-inch 4-track with a homebrew mixer. The recording engineer was Paul Holland and the producer was Barry Kingston. Paul used to get very agitated if anyone stood in front of the huge Altec Lansing monitors in the control room as it spoiled the sound! We didn't do all that many live gigs but spent our time writing stuff, being silly and worrying our parents almost to death!"

I am a collector who has been collecting records for nearly 30 years, and these records are either part of my collection that I no longer require, or have acquired over the years as part of a job lot I purchased. My main motivation for selling records is to finance the purchase of further records for my collection.

I believe that collectable records are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them, so all my auctions are started at a low price.

My gradings are based on the system used by Record Collector magazine as described below
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.??
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.??
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Postage and PackagingAll records are sent securely packaged in purpose made mailers with 2 cardboard stiffeners, clearly marked fragile.I always remove the record from the outer sleeve (to avoid seam split whilst in transit) and then insert the record and sleeve into a brand new polythene sleeve.
I only post items as per Ebay and Paypal terms & conditions, which require that items are sent by a method that is trackable. Due to this, please be advised that you check that the postages rates listed below are acceptable to you before bidding, but please be assured, P&P charges are only those incurred and represent no profit to me.
I do combined shipping ,so if you win more than one item it will work out a lot cheaper on the postage if I send them in the same mailer.
Please note: If the value of the item, or combined items, exceeds the standard compensation rate for "signed for items", there will be no extra charge to you, as I will cover the additional cost for the increased insurance.
