Original FRENCH MONO LP released in 1955on the Urania label from the 1950s -
Furtwängler conducts Beethoven's 3rd Symphony with the VPO, recorded in 1944 - One of the rarest and most sought-after
items related to Furtwängler... For the story: Urania originally planned to release this disc without a license. This first
version bore the name of Furtwangler. Furtwangler refused to have the disc released and prevented Urania from selling them
(in fact extremely few specimens were sold). Later, Furtwangler's wife still refused to have the record released,
but Furtwangler agreed after removing her name from the cover and labels. The disc was released in very limited quantities.
