Overall: Despite some marks and small scratches they sound just great provided you use a suitable cartridge, preferably a MONO ONE of some 25 micron. Anyhow these LPs are indeed hard to find and some of the earliest DGG. And the performances are some of Furtwängler’s most sublime.

The record itself is in brand new condition. I only grade SEALED records as MINT.

The cover and any extra items are also unused in AS NEW condition.

NEAR MINT

A nearly perfect record, with only the slightest cosmetic flaw – no audible defect.

Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality

despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.
