Description
Fairfield Parlour - From Home To Home.
Original LP on 'Vertigo Swirl' Label. Cat no 6360 001.
FIRST ISSUE Matrix numbers 1Y-1/2Y-1.
Here for auction is this super rare psych classic. The gatefold cover is fully intact and complete. It is firm and sturdy but has some wear to the corners and has removal mark wear to the very bottom of the sleeve. To the upper rear of the sleeve, there are the written numbers (150) which seems to have been written in pencil. The spine is fully readable, with the record label, album title and catalogue number all visible. There is wear to the top upper and bottom lower spine, but as stated, the cover is complete. No rips or tears.
The inner sleeve is the original Vertigo sleeve, with a polythene inner. The inner has some age discolouration, but is intact. There are no rips or tears. The numbers (150) are written in pencil to the far front left of the inner sleeve.
Under bright light, the vinyl seems to have nothing more than minor scrapes and sleeve removable marks. There is absolutely nothing sinister or deep rooted,it still holds a sheen and looks in very good condition, and has been well cared for.
The most visible mark I could find was on track one of side two,but that looks like a minor finger nail scratch, absolutely nothing sinister.
I have played the vinyl and it sounds fantastic. There is some crackling in the quiter passages, but nothing to major to spoil the listening enjoyment.
There are no skips or jumps of any kind, the vinyl plays very well and without those types of issues
There are a few spindle marks on the labels, but nothing major. Side 1 being exceptionally good.
I would grade the sleeve a strong VG and the vinyl a strong VG+ to Ex
