Description
So just to clarify the starting price is not a mis-print, and yes, this is the rarest of all pressings of this classic Album. That said, and whilst the jacket is still in very good condition - the vinyl has one brief skip towards the end of "Si tu dois partir" and some further crackling throughout the album, as one might expect from an album of this age. These are most prominent at the start of "A Sailors Song", when that song is at its quietest.
I still believe that it is a genuinely good listen - particularly for the edition in question, which is undoubtedly THE hardest to come by of all pressings. However, if you are unlikely to accept these imperfections, please do not bid on the item.
I have factored this in to the cost of the start price - and then some!! This album, in mint or even excellent condition would generally fetch well in excess of £100.
I bought this copy over ebay, aware of all the same declarations, half a dozen years ago, and it cost me £35. I've played it twice since, so it's in exactly the same condition.
I'm moving house shortly and reluctantly having to sell my much loved record collection as I'll no longer have space to store them all.
I will be selling thousands of titles over the course of the next yr. and there will be some serious bargains to be picked up at the prices I'm listing them for. Good luck!
I offer postage discounts on purchases of more than one record.
KEEP THEM PEELED – I WON’T BE HITTING THIS STOCK FOR SEVERAL MONTHS YET, BUT WHEN I GET TO THE TAIL END OF MY COLLECTION (AND IF YOU’RE SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T MIND A LABEL ON THE ALBUM JACKET PROVIDED THE VINYL PLAYS THROUGH FINE) THERE WILL BE SOME GREAT TITLES GOING AT £1.00 - £1.50 A GO.
THESE ARE EX DJ STOCK AND HAVE IRREMOVABLE HEREWARD RADIO LABELS ON THE COVERS AND/OR BEEN CLIPPED IN THE CORNER . MANY HAVE BARELY BEEN PLAYED. I WILL PHOTOGRAPH ALL OF THESE ITEMS, SO WHEN THE AUCTIONS TAKE PLACE, YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THEIR CONDITION & FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE SHOULD THIS OFFER TEMPT YOU!
I KNOW THIS OPPORTUNITY WON’T APPEAL TO ALL - & CERTAINLY NOT TO THE INVESTORS AMONG YOU – BUT IF IT’S SOUND QUALITY ONLY YOU ARE AFTER AND YOU DON’T MIND THE JACKETS BEING SUB-STANDARD, THIS REALLY IS A GREAT CHANCE TO EXPAND YOUR COLLECTION, PICKING UP SOME UNUSUALLY CHEAP CLASSIC ALBUMS, MANY OF WHICH WOULDN’T RECOGNISE A STYLUS IF IT SLAPPED THEM IN THE FACE!
PARTICULARLY GOOD IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY SEVERAL ALBUMS – AND TO GET THE BENEFIT OF POSTAGE DISCOUNTS. ALTERNATIVELY I AM HAPPY TO DO THEM ON A COLLECTION BASIS. AND IF SOMEONE WANTS A JOB LOT OF DOZENS / OR EVEN HUNDREDS IN ONE GO, I AM HAPPY TO ARRANGE A VIEWING TOO!
