Description
Hi there,
This an auction a most decent copy of the highly desirable Fairport Convention "Unhalfbricking" Vinyl LP from 1969 on the Pink Island Record Label, Cat Nos. ILPS 9102.
This is most definitely an A1/B1 first pressing released on the Pink Island 'Block" Logo Label Design & Large Font Text Printed & Made by ERNEST J DAY & CO LTD on the Rear Sleeve.
The Cover is graded at Good ++ because of the ring wear on the rear, a small barely discernible tear on the front & general all round edge wear, e.g. the band name & album title have frayed from the main spine. Everything else is solid & completely legible.
I have played this well loved & oft times played album from beginning to end for review purposes. Visually it grades around Good ++ but it most certainly plays better with superficial surface noise but no skips, jumps or any nasty surprises.
So to recap - this is not a perfect or pristine copy but still a most pleasing & pleasurable item that I reluctantly will hopefully pass on to similar music lover.
I am an avid record collector of over 45 years & plan to downsize at least a little at a time. I will not make exaggerated claims on any music.
I will not sell what I would not accept as perfectly decent for myself & will try to abide by the Record Collector Grading system.
I will clean all vinyl to a most decent standard.
P&P is for 2nd Class RM Standard though you may wish to pay 40p extra for 1st Class or collect in person for free. I will combine P&P for the cheapest available option though this is more difficult with new RM postal charges.
If you do win an item it would be useful if you could please tell me if you are considering bids on other items. Other than that could could please pay within 3/4 days as that would be considered most fair?
Please inform me if you require any other postage, recorded delivery, insurance etc as I have only listed the most basic economic option. I always retain Certificates of Postage & I cannot take personal responsibility for anything "lost" in the post though I will attempt to achieve compensation via the Royal Mail on the buyer's behalf. As a result of recent problems with the Italian postal service I am most reluctant to send an item there without insured signed for delivery. This is presently possibly negotiable.
This item comes from a smoke & pet free home.
Unless I am feel inclined to withdraw this item I will allow this auction to run its course so please do not ask for a Buy It Now Price as I consider this to be unfair to other prospective bidders.
If you have any questions please contact me & if I do happen to sell you something not as described please contact me for a mutual resolution.
Thank you.
