Cover: Front-laminated single cover. Some very light ringwear and a few creases, but no edge-wear and no seam splits. There is a small number (approx. 1cm x 0.5cm) written in blue ink on the unlaminated back panel, but otherwise, it is fairly clean. The opening is still fairly straight with just a hint of feathering. The spine shows very little signs of wear, with all text clear and easy to read. A nice cover for its age; very strictly graded as VG+.
Inner Sleeve: White poly-lined paper inner sleeve with blue “PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS” text. There are some numbers (probably catalogue numbers) written in black and red ink in the top right-hand corner of one side, but no seam splits.
Labels: Original textured pink Island ‘orange eye’ labels with a few light spindle trails on side 2; none on side 1.
Vinyl: Original heavyweight (170 grams) vinyl, which looks near-mint under normal lighting. Under a halogen light I can see a few very light sleeve-removal marks, which do not affect playback. There is some light surface noise throughout, but this is not loud and certainly doesn’t detract from the music. This is a beautiful, thick slab of vinyl and a really dynamic-sounding pressing, with no pops, ticks, skips or groove-wear, but there is that light background noise, so strictly graded as VG+.
Additional Info: All of the vinyl that I am selling is from my personal collection, and has been cleaned on a VPI HW 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine. After cleaning, I keep all of my records in ‘Mobile Fidelity’ rice paper inner sleeves and store them with the records outside of the covers.
