Original UK tri-colour steamboat Reprise label stereo press LP, with the earliest A-3G matrices and mono flipback cover!

Music in a Doll's House was Family's first LP, produced by Dave Mason (who wrote 'Never Like This') and was released in July 1968, charting at number 35 in the UK thanks to strong support from John Peel. The album's highly original sound was characterised by Roger Chapman's vocals, rooted in R&B combined with several unusual instruments for a rock band, courtesy of the multi-instrumentalists Ric Grech and Jim King, arranged by Mike Batt, with Saxophone played by Tubby Hayes!   The Garrod & Lofthouse laminated flipback sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light laminate rubbing on the front cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain Reprise inner is intact & in VG+ condition, no insert i'm afraid.   The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs/marks visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout, with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very  brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really clean, loud & clear listen.   The matrix nos. are; RSLP-6312, A-3G stamper I-2, B-3G stamper D-2. This is one of the very early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1968 UK stereo issue of this album!

  All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!!   UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
