Description
Up for auction here is issue one of Fast Forward, the world's first cassette magazine, launched in 1980. This zine was the inspiration for Sub Pop magazine to release cassette issues of their own, which led directly to Sub Pop becoming a record label. Bands featured in this issue include: Teeny Weenys, Editions, Little Murders, Pel Mel (NOT Pell Mell, the PNW instrumental band), and the Informatics. "Articles" include: Mod in Melbourne and an interview with Raff Edmunds, ex-manager of Richard Hell. This is the first pressing, before FFWD came up with the fancy PVC sleeves you might be more familiar with--this is just a large folded poster and a cassette inside a thin plastic bag. The poster is pretty rumpled from being stored in a bag with a cassette. The cassette A side label is starting to peel. Condition otherwise as shown.
Because of the size of this item, it has to ship in a box, so for international buyers should check eBay's estimated shipping costs BEFORE bidding.
