Faster Pussycat - Debut LP 1987 Original Elektra Autographed Gold-Stamp Promo

$

300

A very unusual original 1987 U.S. promotional copy of Faster Pussycat's self-titled debut album, released by Elektra Records, catalog 9 60730-1.

This is not simply a signed commercial copy. The jacket contains multiple handwritten messages and autographs specifically addressed to Texas rock & roll radio station, making this a particularly interesting piece of 1980s hard-rock/radio history.

The jacket includes handwritten messages such as:

• “Rock & Roll 4 Ever”
• “Fuck Yeah"
• "Rock Till You Blow Chunks”
• “To C101 — Thankx 4 the Support... Keep It Up!”

The promo release is consistent with the promotional relationship between the band and the station during the original release period.

PROMOTIONAL PRESSING

The jacket carries the gold promotional imprint stating that the record was intended for promotional use only and was not authorized for sale or transfer.

The record itself is an original Elektra white promotional label pressing, catalog 9 60730-1, with the label clearly marked:

“FOR PROMOTION USE ONLY”

The label also identifies the release as a 1987 Elektra/Asylum Records production.

CONDITION

The vinyl is "near-mint" very clean and well preserved, with excellent overall visual presentation. The jacket shows the normal signs of age and storage of a radio-station promotional copy, but the original artwork remains strong and the handwritten inscriptions are clearly visible.

Important: The handwritten autographs and promotional inscriptions have been left completely untouched. They are an integral part of this piece and have not been cleaned, removed, or altered.

A UNIQUE COLLECTOR'S COPY

What makes this copy particularly special is the combination of:

• Original 1987 Faster Pussycat debut LP
• Original U.S. Elektra pressing
• White-label promotional record
• Gold promotional jacket
• Multiple handwritten band autographs/inscriptions
• Messages specifically addressed to KNCN-FM
• Documented connection to a Texas rock radio-station record library

This is being offered as a vintage promotional/radio-station artifact as well as a Faster Pussycat collectible. The C101 inscriptions give the jacket a unique story and period-specific connection to the band's promotion at the time of the album's release.

Please examine all photographs carefully. The exact condition of the jacket, vinyl, labels, promotional markings, and handwritten inscriptions shown in the photographs is part of the description.
