A sleazy‑blues pivot that defined Faster Pussycat’s evolution, Wake Me When It’s Over finds the Hollywood outfit sharpening their hooks and leaning into a grittier, more soulful sound. Released in 1989, the album delivered the band’s biggest commercial moment with the power ballad “House Of Pain,” whose Michael Bay–directed video became an MTV staple.
