DESCRIPTION
This is the EP by Fastway titled "Easy Livin". B side is "We Become One". Released in 1983 by Columbia Records. Catalog #AS 99 1727. Length: 2 rock songs. 33rpm. On their debut album from which these songs came the musicians were Dave King - vocals, harmonica, "Fast" Eddie Clarke - guitar, and Jerry Shirley - drums. The record is in mint condition because it has not been played. No scratches, skips, or pops. This has been stored upright on my album rack in my home. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records for free. Sometimes duplicates. The jacket consists of a plastic sleeve with a 4" flap on top that folds down. (See gallery images) Record is new. I'm including a B&W photo of the initial 3-member band printed on an 8½"x11" sheet of paper. Plus a biography by AllMusic who also published a book of their hundreds of band reviews. Both of these sheets are seen in the gallery images. Fastway was an English hard rock band formed in 1982. Both guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke and bassist Pete Way had become disgruntled with their own bands, Motörhead and UFO, respectively and decided to work together in a new outfit. They recruited Humble Pie drummer Jerry Shirley, and the then-unknown vocalist Dave King. However, Way discovered that he could not break his recording contract with Chrysalis Records and then received an offer to play for Ozzy Osbourne; he left the band and did not record any songs. The band then brought in session bassist Mickey Feat and recorded its debut album "Fastway" (1983) The album peaked at #31 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. [Both songs on this EP came from this album]
