This is an early mono pressing of the album "The Fabulous Fats Navarro vol. 1" by Fats Navarro. The label design is consistent with the era and states the address as 767 Lexington Ave NYC. There is a deep groove on both sides and the edge is raised. "RVG" is hand etched into the runout. The bottom of the back cover reads New York 21, and the sleeve is also of the "kakabushi" style frame construction.

Despite all these signs of being an original/early pressing of this record, there is no Plastylite "P" (ear) in the runout, and the edge is raised. I ressearched this a bit and came across other mentions of this title in a pressing matching this description. One thing I can say for certain is that this is NOT a Liberty pressing. I know old labels were sometimes used much later, but the deep grooves on both sides, the weight of the vinyl, and the hand etched "RVG" all eliminate that possibility.

Vinyl grade: EX+ This record is in really superb condition. There are a few very faint marks on it that won't interfere with playback at all.

Sleeve grade: VG The sleeve is totally intact on all sides with no wear on the front cover. It ranks at VG because there is some small pencil writing in several places on the back cover, end there is clear tape along the spine on the front and back cover.  It is otherwise quite nice. New generic mylar liner.
