Description

Rare, hard to find Betty! Bettie Page original vintage 1957 record cover and vinyl LP of Fats Waller's hits and jazz by the Broadway Jazz Orchestra and singers on the halo label 50252, I would rate the cover in VG--(very Good minus minus) condition, as you can see from the photo there are some bends to the corners on the upper right and lower right edges and bends to the upper left and lower left edges as well as some wear to the bottom center of the front cover the spine edge of this record also shows A small split where the edge of the record meets the edge of the cover. the top and bottom portion of the cover edges are not split the back of the record also shows it's age. Most notably the front cover has some low level ring wear which results in some darkness on Betty's upper chest, chin and around her mouth and on her shoulder and lower near her knee and thigh. the vinyl itself is in G+ (good plus condition) with lots of white marks and scuffs, plays through with no skipping on my system and has low level of background noise throughout, still a listenable record but not great condition vinyl for sure. Regardless, the reason most people want this record is not for the music on the record itself but for the Bettie page cover.  Wearing a see through nightie and leaving little to the imagination, the nearly nude Bettie Page reveals her sex appeal. To this day, Bettie Page's pop culture iconic look is replicated and sought after. Includes " Singin' the Blues", "Guilty am I" and "Black and Blue". A scantily clad dressed Bettie page in full color adorning the cover of this album cover, low starting bid no reserve

I will package the record in a sturdy record mailer with extra cardboard padding to help stiffen and prevent any additional wear to the cover. I will place the record itself in a separate plastic lined paper inner record sleeve shipped alongside of but not inside of the outer sleeve to prevent the record from shifting during transit and causing any further splitting to the cover's edges. The record cover will also be protected by a protective plastic outer clear sleeve.
