Description
I grew up in LA and was fortunate enough to have been into punk from '81 to '86-ish when shows were really wild, police were out of hand, and everything still had a very fresh, raw energy. I have a ton of records from back then – a lot of them original pressings. Generally I'd buy an album, record it to cassette, and then listen to the cassette to limit wear and tear on the vinyl, so most of what I have is in very good shape.
This specific album is in excellent condition. The cover has very little wear, the inner sleeve has only minor wrinkles and no tears, and the vinyl itself has no scratches, scuffs or defects that would affect play.
Fear had a reputation for some of the more violent shows in the early LA punk scene (at least until Suicidal Tendencies started getting known). This was Fear's first album, and I still think it holds up – especially the guitar. This album featured:
- Lee Ving (lead vocals, rhythm guitar)
- Philo Cramer (lead guitar, backing vocals)
- Derf Scratch (bass, backing vocals, saxophone)
- Spit Stix (drums)
Tracks on this album are:
Side 1
- Let's Have a War
- Beef Balogna
- Camarillo
- I Don't Care About You
- New York's Alright if You Like Saxophones
- Gimme Some Action
- Foreign Policy
Side 2
- We Destroy the Family
- I Love Livin' in the City
- Disconnected
- We Gotta Get Out of This Place
- Fresh Flesh
- Getting the Brush
- No More Nothing
