Description
This is part of a large auction featuring Vee-Jay/King/Federal labels. Lots of cool blues, R&B and doo-wop here, with some bonus listings as always. Check back in a couple of weeks for a small label R&B auction.

Release: The Midnighters - Give It Up / That Woman
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1955
Notes: Green label vintage pressing (there was silver reverse logo version that is the true first pressing). Earlysingle by this seminal vocal group out of Detroit, which was formerly known as The Royals. Two great tracks here, more firmly R&B than some of their stuff. Great sax on these.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in great shape with basically no wear. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. The labels are very clean with no tears, scuffs, writing. Looks great. This is a top notch copy overall.
Sleeve Condition: G+, outer sleeve is original. Has a good bit of wrinkling and a small pencil number. There is also a tear to the label hole through the "e" in Federal.
