Description

For sale, I have a copy of Fiona Apple's critically acclaimed album 'Tidal'. This was an exclusive 'First time on Vinyl' pressing by Vinyl Me Please (VMP) that I received when I was subscribed to them. It is unplayed, and I have only taken it out of its sleeve to photograph. It also includes an exclusive 12 page lyric booklet you can see in the photos.

Fiona's latest album has received a ten out of ten from Pitchfork, the first time an album has rated that highly since Radiohead in 2003. Her first album, on vinyl is an absolute must for any fan!

Any questions, please feel free to ask. This is from a smoke and virus free home and the pictures show the condition (new and unplayed).

Description below pasted from Vinyl Me Please.

According to one strain of folklore surrounding the record, Fiona insisted that the name, Tidal, was taken in part because of its phonetic proximity to the funny emptiness of “Title.” But given the wild power of the thing that had come out her, she must have known this magnetism needed proper naming. What primeval force is more fitting than the tides to preside over such a magnificent airing out of wounds? Nothing is quite solid on Tidal anyway, and despite the ferocity, it is always a peaceful album, like the lapping of waves. The hypnotising pull of these highs and lows make Tidal even easier to sink into; it is a record that swells and rages on an instinctual level. It remains one of the most important artistic distillations of female trauma because of the way she harnesses her pain, transforming it into a quiet source of power.
