Pink Floyd: Arnold Layne/Candy And A Currant Bun - this is a first U.K. pressing of Pink Floyd's first 7'' single released on the Columbia label in 1967 (cat no DB 8156). The record and sleeve have been strictly graded as being in very good condition as per the guidelines set out in the Record Collector magazine.
''The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable''
Upon my visual inspection, both sides of the record exhibit light surface marks and superficial scratches. Both sides play back without any sticks or jumps. There are a few light ticks for a few seconds of the Arnold Layne track then it plays with light ''crackling'' or surface noise in places and an occasional ''pop''. The reverse side plays back with some light ''crackling'' in places and an occasional ''pop''.
Both labels remain in nice condition but do show some ''spider'' marks. The record comes in an original Columbia company sleeve that has no rips or tears only light creasing and some age staining.
