Description
Up for auction is the sold-out and already legendary Flaming Lips 4-track cover of The Beach Boys' pop masterpiece 'Good Vibrations'. Sold originally at Levitation Fest in Austin a few weeks ago, the remaining copies of the lathe were sold online and went quick. I got an extra and will be spending this money on more Flaming Lips rarities, so there's no reason to get upset here.
The lathe is unplayed and mint, but lathe-cut vinyl records are not for the audiophiles. Each one is handmade, so various imperfections are inevitable. It will play just fine on your turntable, but it may take a couple of tries to hit the shallow grooves and you may need to set your weight a bit heavier. I'm sure this is already common knowledge to most of you, but for the unfamiliar, please take note!
Shipping cost will cover insurance and tracking if you're a domestic buyer. I will pack the record extremely carefully. Trust me, your record is in great hands. For all international buyers, please contact me before bidding and we'll work something out. I will only ship to another country if you agree to pay for express shipping which provides a tracking number and $200 insurance. I expect payment within 48 hours of the auction's end. If you cannot meet that deadline, just let me know.
