Description
Here is another one from my personal collection, a great copy of a classic 1977 album 'Rumours' by Fleetwood Mac. We are not records experts but as you will see, the vinyl remains in pristine condition with an amazing like new glossy sheen finish and has clearly had well below average plays. As I said, this is right out of my personal archive and is in astonishing condition. This album is an unusual early copy of Fleetwood Mac's superb "Rumours" LP on the WB Burbank Records label K56344. It has hand etched matrix marks with just a plain A on one side and a plain B on the other side after the matrix number. Other first pressings have A-1and B-1 as can be seen with the other Rumours album we are putting in the auction.
This First UK Pressing also has the word or name "ALLEN" etched into dead wax both sides after the matrix number and again this attests to its early issue. Most unusually there is no text of the song list printed on side 2 of the vinyl warner brothers Burbank label, we can only assume it has totally been misprinted (see pictures). It could be that this is a first test run pressing or maybe a promo or then again it could have simply missed the original quality control, either way this makes it quite unusual and for sure we have not seen anything like it. The textured sleeve is really pretty good too there is no writing, rips tears scuffs or marks at all but there are some slight scuffs to the open edge (see pictures). The gatefold insert lyric sheet is also there and in perfect condition.
I always looked after my vinyl albums so all are in superb condition overall, the rest are pretty much mint both in terms of the vinyl and the covers themselves. I am going to sell a few of my albums which will be 1960's and 1970's rock music mostly with the odd 1980's one but not too many so do have a look at the other LP's we have selected to put in the auction.
Postage is for the UK mainland only, postage anywhere else including the IOM will cost more. Any questions please ask.
