Description

An original 1st press of rumours from '77 USA Capitol export for the UK market. Deadwax mentions 'Mastered By Capitol'. Matrix A1/B1. Would have been in the shops available for purchase whilst Rumours topped the charts. The vinyl comes housed in an original texture 1st issue cover. Also included is the original inner sleeve and solid-card lyric credit sheet. So, 100% genuine and 100%c complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Precisely what you need on this release of very finely crafted classic tunes. Upbeat numbers have power and precision. But this copy also manages to deliver a quiet background into the lower key numbers too. The test track on this title is 'Songbird' - this track is unbelievably fussy. And this copy delivers it pretty clean - with the odd crackle here and there [but a lot better than what typically tends to surface]. Other than that expect nothing more than a few isolated crackles in a couple of moments per side [e.g. opening moments of 'Chain']. But don't make the mistake of thinking this is an average copy, or an easy find.
Cover (Ex-) In very nicely preserved condition. Pretty clean and flat with just a touch of ageing on the spine edge - and a light stain down in the bottom right corner [front]. Edge wear is very limited and the opening are still sharp. The text on the spine is all still legible with little wear [ but a touch of ageing]. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Poster/Lyric sheet (Ex) Really good condition - slightest touch of ageing. Very nice and solid.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
