Description

An original USA 1st press of RUMOURS on the UK Warners label [original Burbank design]. Matrix #2/#2. Stamped "mastered by Capitol". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card textured cover. Also included is the original lyric fold-out and generic white inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make a few superficial [absolute top-level] marks...nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with two deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with super clarity. A top level performer with lots of power and energy, but also finesse for those lower key moments. A really clean copy is easy to spot and the tester is Songbird. Few copies actually manage to deliver this track with the clarity it requires. But this copy manages to do does just that - and it sounds all the more magical for it. The only deviations are.. one click during 'Never Go Back'...Then, there's a bit of light interference in the right channel over the opening moments of 'CHAIN'. It sounds a bit like someone striking a match in the background - over on the right side. As soon as the vocal comes in at the start of the song - the interference completely disappears. A small price to pay for one of the best renditions of Rumour I've ever witnessed...
Cover (Ex-) Very nice and clean looking cover. Only the very lightest handling/wear visible in a couple of spots. Edge wear is pretty limited and the text on the spine is all still mostly legible. Thanks to the heavy-card employed in manufacture the cover retains superb rigidity. A truly impressive example.
Inner (Ex-) A two inch top edge split. Otherwise aok.
Lyric pull-out (Ex) Looks great. No issues at all.
