Description
This is a rare, original first pressing of the Rumours album on Warner Brothers. The matrix #s are:
BSK-1-3010 TH3 F15 BSK-2-3010 F17
Both sides feature the "Mastered by Capitol" stamp. Palm tree label.
The condition of the vinyl is at least Excellent and probably EX+. I'm always reluctant to label records as "near mint," although this one might qualify. The record has been in my personal collection for over 40 years and has always been meticulously cared for. I suspect that it has been played perhaps twice - or less! Visually there are some signs of scuffing from the paper sleeve but nothing that would indicate anything other than a wonderful audio experience.
The textured jacket is in similarly excellent condition, with the original hype sticker for the album's first single affixed. This indicates that this copy was from the batch of initial promotional copies of the album as otherwise the sticker would have been on the shrink wrap. There is the mildest hint of ring wear, some light wear to the edge at the sleeve opening, and gentle dings to two of the corners. There is a worn spot on the top edge. There is no bar code on the back.
The album comes with the original heavy stock insert with with photos and lyrics. This piece is in mint condition. It is obvious that this record was minimally handled.
