Description
This is a stereo UK 1st pressing copy of ‘The Gilded Palace Of Sin’, the debut album of The Flying Burrito Bros.
Having made moves into country music with The Byrds on the famous ‘Sweetheart of the Rodeo’ LP (and subsequently falling out with the group in ’68), Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman left to form The Flying Burrito Bros; as Gram felt the ‘simple poetry’ of country had a place in rock music. They set out to fuse the two and this was the initial result, which is now listed as number 192 of Rolling Stone’s 500 greatest albums of all time; proof of concept there then.
