Hello!
You're looking at a VERY VERY RARE 7" CLEAR VINYL COPY of FOALS & FREELANCE WHALES split 7" This was originally supposed to sold on RECORD STORE DAY 2011 However... AFTER ALREADY BEING PRINTED, THIS SINGLE WAS PULLED AT THE LAST MINUTE BY SUB-POP!
The 'A' Side was to feature a cover of SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA'S "ONE" by the mighty UK band FOALS The 'B' Side is a cover of DEVO'S "GIRL U WANT" by the most excellent FREELANCE WHALES
BUT.... THE WRONG SONG WAS PRESSED ON THE 'A' SIDE !!! It's a different/alt version of FOALS 'SPANISH SAHARA' It's not the entire track - fades out before the last couple minutes kick in. As pictured, both the sleeve AND label feature the title One and the songs' writers.
Seeing how Sub-Pop PULLED ALL COPIES AND HAD THEM RETURNED BEFORE BEING SOLD... THIS IS A VERY RARE ITEM!!!
CONDITION: This has sat in a desk cupboard for about 3 years. Never touched.
VINYL IS NEAR MINT. I have to say 'NEAR' since I did play the Foals side once to confirm what track was pressed. Otherwise, the record went back into it's sleeve... dust free, no scratches etc.
For sake of argument I'll say the SLEEVE is NEAR MINT/NM-... there is a small crease visible on the FOALS side, at the bottom, that runs about 3/4" in line with the record inside.... nothing I can do about that - it's how I received it and it came to me fresh out of the box. Otherwise, looking at it, it's about as good as it can get. I'll allow for benefit of the doubt and to be a real stickler, but the corners are sharp and there are no other faults. IF YOU WANT A PICTURE, I CAN TRY -- IT DIDN'T COME OUT TOO WELL FOR THIS POSTING.
