Rare MINT 1975 UK FIRST PRESSING 12-track vinyl LP with great illustrated psychedelic picture sleeve. The cover is generally sharp and clean with virtually no obvious shelf-wear and the vinyl looks, and sounds, mint.
The record is in Mint condition and sound as wonderful as ever, and the cover and original inner sleeve are in Excellent condition. A superb copy of this last great album from Focus!
Highly desirable for its first pressing matrices and Mint condition vinyl, and increasingly difficult to find in good condition on vinyl, this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to add this superb rarity to your collection at an extremely advantageous price.

This last LP from Focus featuring Jan Akkerman is hardly ever offered for sale in this condition.
This is the extremely rare real thing: a genuine Mint/Ex condition UK first pressing. The record is in Mint condition while the cover and inner sleeve fully merit an Excellent grading. All items are free from any major defects like scratches, tears, creases, stickers, dog ears, writing, stains or the like. See pics. All items are the genuine originals bought together by me in 1975 not reprints or replacements. The LP is the original UK 1975 stereo LP, which was only played once or twice on top-end audiophile equipment and lovingly cared for.

Mother Focus is the fifth studio album by the band Focus, released in 1975. Focus here featured virtuoso guitarist Jan Akkerman for the last time, not to work with his long-term writing partner Thijs Van Leer for another ten years. Mother Focus also sees Focus' highly skilled bass player Bert Ruiter try his hand in song-writing. The outcome includes one of the finest funk tracks on the album -- the hilarious "I Need a Bathroom." The album begins with quite possibly the finest track on the album -- and maybe the most typical Focus -- the titular "Mother Focus." The funky theme underlying the number sets the mood for the rest of the LP with aplomb. Indeed, Mother Focus is far from the usual instrumental material. For this reason, Mother Focus may not appeal to the usual fans of the Dutch proggers. The number of feel-good tunes making up the album's core makes up for the lack of a rocking single in the style of "Hocus Pocus". A mellower, happier aura permeates the recording as a whole, particularly noticeable in the soothing "Tropic Bird." Undoubtedly, though, Mother Focus is let down by the lack of Akkerman's and Thijs' presence. The whole album cries out for one of them to jump out and take centre stage for a while. Instead each track is filled with numerous melodies and rhythms, with only the occasional jaunt from Akkerman. Mother Focus is a fine album in its own right, but maybe not what one would be expecting when taking into account the progressive rock features of their earlier albums. Funk predominates in the last respectable Focus LP. RIP Focus.
This may be your only ONCE IN A LIFETIME chance to own this rare piece of rock history in this condition.
