Description
Very rare opportunity to own a 1st press 1964 Decca Mono pressing of Folk roots, New routes. Regarded as the most wanted album amongst folk collectors and for good reason.
Sleeve VG
The sleeve has laminate lift to the front, browning to the rear and a pen mark next to track 7, fully intact with no tears or splits, spine intact and fully readable.
Vinyl VG
Held under a strong light shows light signs of play but upon playback there are no skips, jumps, pops or clicks but there is slight background noise in parts but is in no way over powering and I listened to both sides. If this was a rock album you'd never know the noise was there but as its 1 man playing a guitar and 1 lady singing there's no hiding it, still a wonderful listen and I've conservatively graded as most would grade VG+.
Labels VG+
Side 1 label looks unmarked, side 2 label shows some spindle marks, free from rips and owners names!
Inner sleeve VG
Standard Decca inner of the time, has some creasing and browning but intact with no tears.
It is missing the lyric sheet but this is reflected in my price as I know this is desirable but very hard to find now days.
I will post via recorded delivery within 2 working days of cleared payment to mainland UK only in a secure record mailer with the vinyl removed from the main sleeve to prevent tearing in transit and sandwich between some stiff cardboard for extra protection, I will pop the sleeve and everything into a 3mm plastic sleeve to keep secure. Postage is higher than normal to cover insurance as I want you to get what you paid for and also cover myself in the event of it going missing in post.
