Francesco Tamagno Historic Masters set 15 vinyl 78s frm orig 10" masters set NOS

Offered here is a rare item, a New Old Stock boxed set, unsold and unplayed, of the Historic Masters Tamagno 10" G&T re-pressings in heavy-weight high quality vinyl. There are 15 discs with 29 sides (though please note that the 29th is credited to 'Unknown baritone' - I don't know the full story there but I believe it is known to be FT singing). This set was bought at the time of issue and stored (safely, upright, in a dry, warm - but not too warm - indoor shelf), where it has sat, unplayed, ever since. No idea how rare this set would now be, but it most certainly hasn't been avaialble for a very long time, it was only ever available in very limited quantities and some of the originals of these sides are anything from almost unobtainable to virtually unknown. Sound quality will of course be amazing, as these are pressed in the highest quality vinyl from the original masters. Please note these should really only be played on modern 78 playing equipment with a lightweight electric pickup - if you play them on vintage 78 gramophones with heavy arms and pickups, they will wear much faster than shellac. On modern decks however they will last as long as vinyl LPs.

The reason for selling is because a need to reduce the accumulation of audio 'stuff' for family reasons.
