This auction is for one lp vinyl record with original paper sleeve and original album cover. I enjoy records but am not a collector per se. Occasionally I come across something that looks rare and if I think it is worth more than a certain amount I will sell it on eBay instead of keeping it for my myself. Please refer to images and if needed ask questions - I will ship the lp well protected. Good luck!

The album cover is bright but has condition issues. Please excuse the glare - I always have a hard time photographing records. The cover is bright but has remnants of glue possibly from lable to upper right corner - this may be able to be cleaned off but I will not touch it. Light discolor or scrape to far left side edge about 1 1/2 inch by 2 inches and minor. Cover has light overall wear but like I said looks bright. Interior white paper record sleeve is sharp and bright with one corner creased. One side has small ink stamp crossed out - looks like a name and address? Record looks sharp and bright with some very light wear, no scratches etc.. Side one has small paper loss at center - where the name Inedits should be. Vinyl is bright and clean looking with just slight signs of any wear. I know condition is everything with albums so if the buyer is unhappy I will refund full amount minus shipping but winner will have to send it back to me first. I believe the winner will be happy though - record looks very clean and I played part of one side and it sounds great. Vynil has press numbers? INE 995013 A / flip side says B instead of A. About the artists - Ivo Malec (born 30 March 1925, Zagreb) is a Croatian born French composer, music educator and conductor. One of the earliest Yugoslav composers to obtain high international regard, his works have been performed by symphony orchestras throughout Europe and North America. Coming from a rather 'classical' background, he met Pierre Schaeffer whom he considers his 'true and only master'; Schaeffer's teachings turned Malec into one of the most important leaders of the Groupe de recherches musicales. Since then he dedicated himself to a more radical style. He received a number of awards including the Grand Prix National de Musique in 1992. He is resident in France since 1955 and taught at the Paris Conservatoire from 1972 to 1990 where he taught composers such as Edith Canat de Chizy, Denis Dufour, Philippe Hurel, Philippe Leroux and Gerard Pesson.

François-Bernard Mâche (born April 4, 1935 Clermont-Ferrand) is a French composer of contemporary music. Born into a family of musicians, he is a former student of émile Passani and Olivier Messiaen and has also received a diploma in Greek archaeology (1957) and a teaching certificate (Agrégation de Lettres classiques, 1958). He was a member of the Groupe de Recherches Musicales in Paris from 1958–63. He has composed electroacoustic, orchestral, chamber, choral, vocal and piano works. He has been a member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts since 2002 and occupies the chair of the late Iannis Xenakis. Mâche's Music, Myth and Nature, or The Dolphins of Arion (Musique, mythe, nature, ou les Dauphins d'Arion), which as a whole argues for a return in composition to mythic thought, includes a study of "ornitho-musicology" using a technique of Nicolas Ruwet's Langage, musique, poésie (1972) paradigmatic segmentation analysis, shows that birdsongs are organized according to a repetition-transformation principle. One purpose of the book was to “begin to speak of animal musics other than with the quotation marks”, and he is credited by Dario Martinelli with the creation of zoomusicology. The book also describes the conception and composition of pieces by Mâche, where, "As a starting point, he borrows a tonal model from reality which he then submits to a highly intricate process leading to abstraction." This technique leads Daniel Durney to describe Mâche as "one of the rare exponents of the naturalistic trend in music." Models often include human speech and bird song. Given the extensive use of birdsong made by Messiaen, Mâche avoided using birdsong recordings in his own work until 1969: Naluan for ensemble and tape from 1974, "systematically explores" the model of birds; while Sopiana of 1980 pits recordings of Malayan shamas, icterine warblers and marsh warblers against the virtuosity of a live flute and piano. Recordings of birdsong, insect sounds, and other natural phenomena such as raindrops are integrated into Le printemps du serpent for large percussion ensemble of 2001. Earlier in Mâche's composing career, recording of a poem by the modern Greek poet Giorgos Seferis, read by Mâche himself, formed the basis of the orchestral work La peau du silence (1962), and that of a text by Paul éluard for Le son d'une voix for small orchestra in 1964.
