Description

Francoise Hardy was a normal, rather shy girl of eighteen when her debut album was released in France in November of 1962 on the Disques Vogue record label.  The title [and the single from the album] was 'Tous Les Garcon et Les Filles' (All The Boys and Girls) ....it became a huge hit all over Europe. In addition, Hardy made a few brief appearances in some movies as well as doing some modeling.  In no time she was the object of fantasy and became a (reluctant) fashion icon.  She was praised and adored by Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, The Beatles among others.

Her debut album wasn't released in the UK until 1964;  the cover omitting the name of the single for obvious marketing reasons.  Collectors have often stated that it is the very first UK release which has the nicest transfer of the now famous picture taken by French photographer, Jean-Marie Perier.

Cover:  Excellent(+) .....one of the nicest examples of this iconic jacket I've ever seen. The lamination gleams .... and though some wrinkles and creases can be seen, they are mostly inoffensive.  The flipbacks on the back cover are in near-perfect condition.  Usually the unlaminated back cover of this album is in awful, dirty condition. Fortunately,  this one has escaped these commonly found problems.  A real gem.

Original Inner-Sleeve: VG+ ......mostly age-related issues like yellowing are noticed.  A few areas of discoloration....some wrinkles....a seam split to one side which can probably be repaired if desired.

Record: VG(+) ~ Excellent+......the heavyweight vinyl displays only a few hairlines and marks which have very little impact on the wonderful first press mono audio. In fact, the record plays without any serious issues and should please most collectors.
