OWN A RARE PIECE OF HISTORY!!! Frank Sinatra; "SONGS FOR THE YOUNG AT HEART"  Original 2-Record ACETATE MASTER PROOF METAL ACETATE MONO 33 1/3 RPM Acetate Record Recording   Master #: QBO-91261 Dated: 9/27/67 Two (2) DISKS, each listing the elapsed recording time, and each side is numbered side 1- 13:06, side 2- 11:57, side 3-13:22 , side 4-14:27  RARE Proof of the release of the Album: "Songs For the Young at Heart" on Capitol Records from 1967-1968 The labels are all written by hand and state: the following: "Master No.":QBO-91261,"TIME", "TITLE", "ARTIST" AND PROOF 9-27-67 and the initials:"BS"on one and "LT" on the other. The label also has the form # 6067-A and the date 2/62 The Jacket on one shows several hand written song titles,  As well the Jacket has: "Transco" .....A SOUND INVESTMENT, TRANSCO PRODUCTS CORP. 609 W ELIZABETH AVE. LINDEN NJ 07036 201 925-0030-1 Manufacturers of recording blanks Condition: Small signs of wear, I have never listened to, or played them ever, in an effort to keep them in the pristine condition I acquired them in.  I have owned them for 30+ years.  On side shows a slight 2" long scuff but not deep,  I did not want to try to address but it looks as though it could be cleaned no scratches present. Jackets show slight wear but generally in great condition.  In safe temperature controlled storage for over 30 years. FYI: From Wikipedia: "An acetate disc, also known as a test acetate, dubplate (a term from Jamaican reggae culture, now also applied to individually recorded discs of solid plastic), lacquer (a technically correct term preferred by engineers in the recording industry), transcription disc (a special recording intended for, or made from, a radio broadcast) or instantaneous disc (because it can be played immediately after recording without any further processing), is a type ofphonograph (gramophone) record, a mechanical sound storage medium, widely used from the 1930s to the late 1950s for recording and broadcast purposes and still in limited use today.

Unlike ordinary vinyl records, which are quickly formed from lumps of plastic by a mass-production molding process, a so-called acetate disc is created by using a recording lathe to cut an audio-signal-modulated groove into the surface of a special lacquer-coated blank disc, a real-time operation requiring expensive, delicate equipment and expert skill for good results. They are made for special purposes, almost never for sale to the general public. They can be played on any normal record player but will suffer from wear more quickly than vinyl. Some acetates are highly prized for their rarity, especially when they contain unpublished material.

Acetates are usually made by dubbing from a master recording in another medium, such as magnetic tape. In the vinyl record manufacturing process, an acetate master disc is cut and electroforming is used to make negative metal molds from it; each mold, known as a stamper, can be used to press thousands of vinyl copies of the master. Within the vinyl record industry, acetates are also used for evaluating the quality of the tape-to-disc transfer. They were once a favored medium for comparing different takes or mixes of a recording, and if pressed vinyl copies of an impending new release were not yet available, acetates were used for getting preview copies into the hands of important radio disc jockeys."
