Description
This is an original 1966 double LP vinyl record titled "Frank Sinatra: SINATRA AT THE SANDS." The record features the iconic voice of Frank Sinatra, accompanied by Count Basie and the Orchestra. The record comes in the original cardboard sleeve and the original inside paper sleeve printed with albums from the time. Outer cover and inner paper sleeve both in very good condition. This is Sinatra's first live album; it was recorded from Jan. 26 - Feb. 1,1966 during a 7day stint at the Vegas Sands in the Copa Room and his voice glides effortlessly through it. It is solid gold from beginning to end. The record was released under the Reprise label with a catalog number 2FS 1019. This album looks and sounds amazing.
Note: There is a signature in the upper right side (see photos) on the back of the album. The history I was given as a child was that this was signed by Sinatra on August 3,1968 at a concert in Philadelphia, PA that my parents attended. I have no way to know if this is true, but that's the story I was told. We tried to find a signature that looks like this one and the only one we were able to find was a book signed to Bob Marley by Sinatra (I included a photo of the page from this book just for reference). There is also some writing in small print on the inside gatefold: "8/27/66 2 Guys B"
