Description
Ultra rare original mono pressing from early 1966. These mono mixes were NEVER reuissued after this first pressing, They are considered the best and punchiest of all the mixes. They have NEVER seen CD or even a 2nd LP pressing. This is why people LOVE them! They are not MATRIXED stereo versions, they are completely remixed for the mono pressing with punchy bass and a stronger sounding master.
Discs are in NM- to EX- condition. they all play quietly and cleanly. Cover in VG++ with some neatly taped seams.

Here is a sample from the actual LP for auction here. This is a needle drop on side one, track one. Side one has the most wear of all the sides. There is no filtration or EQ used in this. Good old honest matrixed mono from a linear tracking luxman. The link provided here is to a page that contains a CD quality sample with the actual needle drop on the outter groove, including the space between track one and two. If you're a serious collector of Zappa, you know that these Lp's were not all created equal! MGM was using masters longer than they should have, and some of them sounded pretty crappy, depending on how many were pressed and where. This one sounds pretty good! Nice and punchy. If you're used to the stereo mix and the remixed version, you'll hear a difference even on this one song! The masters were mixed from four track, so mix differences will be subtle on most tracks, less so on others.
