Description

Here we have Frank Zappa- Shut Up 'N Play Yer Guitar,a 3 x LP Limited Edition box set released in 1981 on the CBS Sunburst label, cat. no. CBS 66368. As the blurb on the back of the box explains, FZ is not usually the first guitarist who comes to mind when you think of top players,but this set demonstrates that not only is he a gifted composer and arranger, he is also pretty talented on the axe too...  Mastered by Joe Hansch, the sound quality is superb.
All three records have been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and have come up spotlessly clean and very shiny with no real marks - a couple of faint scuffs barely visible & that's it.Very clean labels and spindle holes - I have graded EX conservatively but is probably closer to NM.
Playback reveals a clean, clear & fresh sound with plenty of detail and depth too. Needless to say the records play through beautifully with no issues whatsoever.
The glossy outer box is in superb condition with no real wear to any sides, front or back - almost like new! No damage to hinge, lid or corners. There is a tiny amount of light foxing to the inside of the lid but this is minimal. One slight tear to the opening side base but this does not compromise the strength.
All records are contained in their original FZ photo sleeves all in excellent condition.
A lovely box set for any Zappa fan in beautiful condition, cleaned and tested, ready to pop straight onto your turntable.
