Frank Zappa "You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore - Sampler" 2 LP Original Issue

  &nbspFrom my personal collection. This double album may have been the last record I bought before switching over to CD's. It is in Like New condition, like I just brought it home from the store. A nice teaser compilation for the then up and coming You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore series of CD releases. I love the details presented in the gate-fold for each track and I miss having these nice big record sleeves to poor over while listening to the music. But alas, I must down size and need to liquidate my bulky collection and give another Zappa fan the chance to rumple and fetish my treasures.

(Based on the Goldmine ratings but see my definitions at the bottom of this listing for more information concerning what is acceptable for each rating.)

  &nbspCOVER GRADE: NM, Extremely clean. See picture of corner, which is the closest thing to damage.

  &nbspRECORD GRADE: NM, Both records are in Like New condition other than a small scratch on the lead in area of Side 3 before the start of the audio.

  &nbspLABELS GRADE: NM, Both labels are in excellent shape with no stickers, writing or wear.

Many browsers will automatically size the picture to fit on the screen but if you zoom in you will find that most pictures are MANY TIMES BIGGER than the ones in the ebay listing.

NM = Near Mint (My highest grade. Not assigned very often)

  &nbspImplies that it looks as good as the day it was brought home and opened for the first time. No signs of wear, scratches, tears, scuffs, or other damage.

VG+ = Very Good + (Except for a couple of minor things it would be Near Mint)

  &nbspShows some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took great care of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that cannot be felt with a fingertip. Slight warps that shouldn’t affect the sound are acceptable. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play. The cover may have slight signs of wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. It may also be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount. All but the most mint-crazy collectors will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable.

VG = Very Good (Average quality, a few issues but not many, a very played but well taken care of record)

  &nbspGroove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them at the most.

VG- = Very Good – (Below Average. Too many issues to be Very Good but still in better shape than a Good rating)

  &nbspSame types of issues as VG, but more of them.

G = Good (Lots of issues but still playable)

  &nbspGood does not mean Bad! A record in Good condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without serious skipping problems. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. A cover will have seam splits, tape, writing, ring wear or other defects that will start to overwhelm the object.

P = Poor (Probably not playable)

  &nbspThe record is cracked, badly scratched or warped, and probably won't play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled, and written upon.

SS:(grade) = Still Sealed : Cover Grade (grade)

  &nbspThis means that the grading only really applies to the condition of the cover and assumes that the record inside is the correct one and that the record and label are in as good a shape as the cover, if not better.
