Another record I got it new back then and I played it a few times but it's still almost like new. I have a couple of thousand records and a few hundred I got new and only played a couple of times.
What can be said. This is classic Zappa on a hard to find record. A must have for any Zappa vinyl collector. Awesome sound quality preserved on very high quality vinyl.
The play grade of vinyl is NM. The noise floof is very low on this vinyl, reminds me of early MOFI vinyl. I did hear a few tick and clicks but not many. I saw a couple of very light marks but nothing I could hear. Well centred grooves on all sides, labels a little off centre but not too bad. Just a little out of flat but not what I would call warped. Side two labels have tiny hairline tears by the spindle hole (see picture) but side ones are good. Not dead mint but too well made for me to downgrade from NM. I doubt it gets any better than this.
Box is EX with some very light shelf wear. No corner splits or anything. I put it in an outer bag after I opened it back in the 90s. Still has the two inserts.
Play grades are subjective and vary with playback equipment.Play grade rig was Well Tempered Turntable with Van Den Hul MC One cartridge. This needle fits the groove almost perfectly and will read anything there, including noise.
I usually don't grade anything NM because even most new records I've opened have some minor problems if you look close enough.
I'm listing some of the gems from my 30 year record collection. I collected most of it during the 90's.

Any returns must be in the same condition you receive it in and sent back in the same packaging.
I have attempted to grade this record to Goldmine standards under a bare 100 watt bulb and inspected for centring and warps on a turntable. I list the reasons for grades in the description. If you feel I have over graded, made an error in the description or the record arrives damaged please contact me within 48 hours of receipt for a full refund upon return of record, including all actual postage costs. I use EX instead of VG++.
I ship in an over-sized box with foam inserts for safety. Please save this packaging to ship any returns in.
