For Collectors of:- Irish Pressings, Translucent Pressings, ZTT Label, and of course Collector's of:- FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD !
The Rare and hard to find Ireland Pressing of:-
FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD WELCOME TO THE PLEASUREDOME 12'' Single Released March 1985
In used but good condition. The expected odd crackle and pop for an item over 30 years old. Some age wear to sleeve - please see pics of item for sale. 12 ZXAS 7 Matrix Details:-
Side A - ZTAS A2 'STICKMAN' DDCS JC CP (JC on the matrix Side A is under pic on label of Mark O' Toole, while the CP on the matrix on Side A is under pic on label of Brian 'Nasher' Nash)
Side B - ZTAS7 B1 CBS 'STICKMAN' DDCS CP YII (CP on the Matrix Side B is above the Island logo on the label, while YII is further round the matrix passed the ZTT Logo on the label on the top corner of the square pic on the label).
I have put the CP and JC information above just to show where they are on the matrix, they are not easy to find with the naked eye. Shining a light on the matrix helps. As said above there are easier ways to identify this as an Ireland Pressing, but they all count towards making this a very RARE item.
If you are looking at my auction (thank you) then you will know the rarity of this item.
This is the rare Irish pressing which can be noted just by looking at the record. It has the Irish Double Dip Labels, Shorter run out groove on Side A compared to the standard UK Pressing AND when held up to light (See first pic) the record is TRANSLUCENT Brown. Also the tracks B1 & B2 are shorter than on the UK release. The sleeve is the same as the UK issue. The vinyl is thicker than the UK Release. Matrix has the usual Irish markings but also has the rare 'JC' marking which is the initials of Jeremy Cooper. The 'CP' on Side B Matrix is for 'Carlton Pressings', the pressing plant in Ireland where this record was pressed. If I have missed anything or you have any questions about the item, please ask.
If item sells for over £50.00, UK P+P will be £7.50 via Special Delivery due to item value. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
