Description
Mega rare, Studio acetate for a rare Lp! Possibly a one of a kind or maybe one of only a few. It is a lathe cut acetate disc with a metal core. Freddie King Getting Ready Lp, Original Capitol Master Acetate. Liberally graded at VG because of a couple light scratches that don’t hinder play. There is also a faint image of “Freddie King” embedded on one side of the disc. This is a faint impression left by the marker used to write on the sleeve. It doesn’t affect play. There is also a thumb print on the outer edge on one side that I couldn’t clean off for some reason it plays through it. The disc is shiny and has been play tested. It plays fine with a bit of surface noise and crackle like most acetates I have owned and sold over 20 years. Unless an acetate has never been played there will always be some noise.
This is a Capitol Records studio acetate most likely to hear how the final mastering for vinyl pressing would sound. It might also be a master for plating.
Record ships well packed and protected in a standard Lp mailer with extra cardboard for protection. Poly bagged with a new white innermost sleeve. Disc out of the sleeve to prevent splitting of cover. I do combine ship wait for invoice before payment.
