Nice first press copy of The Freddie Redd Quartet with Jackie McLean, featuring music from The Connection, a dark 1961 film about current and former jazz musician junkies waiting in "Leaches" apartment for their connection "Cowboy" to arrive with heroin. Actual heroin addicts portrayed characters in the film, whose fixes were paid by filmmaker Jim Dunn.
